DeLaval supplies Turkey’s first robotic milking farm
Stockholm, Sweden (October 17, 2011). DeLaval has sold it first VMS, Voluntary Milking System in Turkey. The Farm Sarp - is the first robotic milking farm in the country and they are aiming to be the Turkey’s most production efficient farm. “This is a significant step for DeLaval as we enter the Turkish market with VMS. We are very happy that Farm Sarp choose DeLaval as their supplier”, says Andrew Turner Regional President India, Middle East & Africa at DeLaval.

The Sarp farm was founded in 2010. The owner of the farm is Mr. Cuneyt Özgümüş. Today the farm has 135 cows. The capacity of the farm is 500 cows and the owner is aiming to maximize the operations as soon as possible.
“We have cooperated with DeLaval and as a result of this we have created a dairy farm which is supplying high quality cow milk for our new generations. DeLaval is an international company which is offering numbers of options for different needs. Also, the udder cleaning technology of VMS is much more effective than alternative robotic milking systems. This is why we choose DeLaval”, says the owner Mr. Cuneyt Özgümüş.

The opening ceremony was 22nd of September at the farm. The Turkish Food, agriculture and livestock minister Mr. Mehdi Eker, Governer of Tekirdag Mr. Kemelek Zubair and members of the parliament attended the opening ceremony.
